SeekerMinder™ is an intuitive, fully-featured family minder application that provides subscribers with the convenience and reassurance of being able to check the real-time location of family members from their mobile phone.
The application features a highly-responsive SIM Tool Kit menu system, for quick and easy access to the most commonly-used functionality without the need to enter command codes or phone numbers. WAP and Web portals are also available as alternatives to the STK menu system.

Features
Users are able to:
- Check the location of family members in real time, with responses in SMS, MMS (with map), browser-based map, or STK pop-up
- See ‘Who’s near’ – a list and/or map of the family members that are close to the user
- Define and name commonly-visited places, for intuitive location reports (for example, ‘John is at Home’ rather than ‘John is near 123 Smith Street’)
- Receive notifications if family members’ movements are unusual – for instance, if a child does not arrive at school within a set timeframe
- Send their own location, or a geo-tagged message, to family members
- Broadcast their location to all family members
- Hide their location from selected family members (account holder-controlled)
- Trigger geo-tagged emergency alerts to all family members
Web Portal
A secure, user-friendly web portal allows system configuration, including user and MSISDN management, permissions settings (who can locate who), ‘Place’ definition (via an interactive map), and rule definition for place-based alerts.
The SeekerMinder™ portal also provides controlled access to activity and location histories for each user, and account balance information.
Privacy
A SeekerMinder™ account is fully self-contained – location data cannot be accessed by any SeekerMinder™ users outside the account.
The account holder can configure location permissions across the entire account, for example to prevent a child from seeing a parent’s location (this would not prevent the parent from proactively sharing their location with the child at any time).
As a further layer of security, PIN access can be configured for STK, Web and WAP to individually control access to each family member’s location.
The system can be remotely deactivated by the account holder if a user’s phone is lost or stolen.
Charging
Pre-pay and on-account charging is supported (including a mix across an account), with ‘bundle’ options for various family sizes and requirements. Per-transaction charging can be implemented for excess usage.
