Continuous Location Monitoring and Measurement on the Handset
SeekerZone™ is a truly scalable architecture that distributes the responsibility for zone status detection and reporting to the handset. It includes a small applet deployed on the handset or the SIM card, which determines the location of the handset without using GPS or any special facilities in the cellular network.
The applet monitors the handset location continually using radio signal readings and recognises any movement into or out of a pre-defined zone. Upon any change in zone status, the applet notifies the Seeker Location Server, which then triggers a change in call tariff.
